Kenny Pearl Bio

Kenny danced for ten years internationally in New York City with the companies of Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham. In Canada, was Artistic Director of Toronto Dance Theatre for four years, and Director of its school for two.

As a teacher in Toronto, he was on faculty of TDT for 10 years, and has been at Ryerson University for the past three. He also teaches the Canadian Childrens Dance Theatre, and for the current Toronto 509 Collective.

While in NYC, Kenny taught for 5 years at the schools of Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham as well as at the ‘Fame-ous’ La Guardia High. Guest teaching adventures since his return to Canada include many wonderful trips to Vancouver- to Main Dance, Arts Umbrella, Judith Marcuse and Karen Jamieson Companies, regular visits to the Juilliard School in NY, Quebec City at L’Ecole de Danse, in Montreal at L’Ecole Superieure. York University, Dance Theatre David Earle in Guelph, and several visits to Mexico City.

Class Description

Kenny will teach a class with either a centre or barre warmup.
