Susan Elliott Bio
Susan Elliott is a Vancouver based choreographer, performer and teacher and the artistic director of Anatomica. Elliott has danced for many Vancouver creators as well as working nationally and internationally with choreographers from Montreal, Belgium, Tokyo, Spain and the United States. She held the position of Dance Artist in Residence at The Vancouver East Cultural Centre from 2000-4 and is the first recipient of the Isadora Award presented by The Dance Centre in 1999.
Class Description
This class is designed to prepare the dancing body for the day to follow. An amalgamation of various techniques (Cunningham, Limon, Yoga, release technique) focusing on integrating the whole body to move with fluidity and strength. A warm up is followed by a barre, centre work, combinations and jumping.
