Training Subsidy Program (TSP)
Ongoing training and professional development are a crucial part of a your career. Regular physical conditioning maintains your body as an instrument, relevant opportunities for artistic development engage your mind as an interpreter and creator, and on-going, consistent technical training keeps you current. In combination, these activities position you as an active and employable member of the professional community.
However ongoing training and professional development are financially prohibitive for most, especially dance artists who work outside the support system of a company.
CADA’s Training Subsidy Program (TSP) responds to this condition in the professional dance community by providing financial subsidies for ongoing dance training, physical conditioning and artistic development.
The TSP is operated on a national level through each office and aims to:
- Improve the socio-economic status of the participants,
- Contribute to job readiness and improve levels of employability,
- Ensure that training and professional development remain a vital and affordable part of a career in dance, and
- Contribute to the development of the dance milieu and to a new generation of dance artists.
Scope
